About Tischa
Born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago, Tischa is married to Harald who is from The Netherlands. Together, they have two teenaged sons – Julian and Aidan. Julian is high functioning on the autism spectrum and is challenged by severe mental illness. This international family now calls Houston, TX home.
Tischa van de Reep is a prolific writer, teacher, and speaker with a passion for sharing the truth of God’s Word and applying it to our everyday lives.
Tischa has been actively involved in Women’s Ministry, Young Adults Ministry, Youth Ministry, and Outreach Ministry by facilitating groups, teaching, and speaking. Her work in ministry has been far-reaching, extending from the affluent suburbs of The Woodlands, TX, to homeless, at-risk women in Houston, TX, to women’s and youth ministry in Malawi, Africa.
Tischa’s dramatic and compelling testimony includes molestation, rape, abortion, homelessness, a psychologically abusive marriage, abandonment, divorce, and alcohol abuse. God has used her life to enable her to create a sense of belonging for women who may consider themselves outside of God’s love, favor, and grace.
My Statement of Faith
I believe that the Bible is God’s divinely inspired Word (2 Peter 1:21;
I believe that the One True God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4-6) exists also as the Holy Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:18-20).
I believe that Jesus Christ is fully God (Hebrews 1:1-4;1 John 5:20) and fully man (Matthew 1:20), and that he died on the cross for our sins (John 1:29) and that He resurrected from the dead on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-5; John 1:1-3).
I believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity (2 Corinthians 13:14) and that He counsels, guides and empowers us for daily living (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13).
I believe that all people are created by God in His image (Genesis 1:27), but, through sin, we have separated ourselves from God (Romans 2:5; 5:12) and need His saving grace (Ephesians 2:8).
I believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), and we receive this gift of eternal life when we sincerely trust Jesus Christ (Romans 4:4-5; 5:1) as our Savior from sin (John 3:16; Acts 4:12).
I believe that the Church is the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:24-30) and that God has called believers to gather together in worship and service (1 Corinthians 12:12).
I believe that Jesus Christ will come again in glory (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; John 14:1-3) and reign eternally (Philippians 2:9-11).
“Tischa loves, loves, loves the Lord and His Word! If you spend any time with Tischa, you will hear about Jesus. Her teachings are rich and her heart is humble and Jesus always gets the glory!!!”
